This is my Pearl accoustic drum set. I worked nearly an entire summer one year, before I got sick and was unable to return to work, and this is where all of my money went. It was an investment that was worth every penny. Today I am in my church worship band, and my sister-in-laws will be learning to play bass and electric guitar and we will be starting a band. |
This is one of my other drum sets. I built it my self from an idea I had one day, then found plans on the internet that were very helpful. I have built a link to the site below. At first it was just a practice kit and was a lot of fun to use. Then I got a bright idea about putting triggers into the pads and sure enough there was a site on the net that told me how to build my own triggers and transform this kit into a electric kit. |

This is a Pearl 5 piece Rhythem Traveler drum set. It was purchased because of the mesh heads that it comes with. These heads are like the heads found on expensive electronic drums. There were a few times that I got in trouble for playing the pad kit above loudly. So I consulted one of the sites that I used to build the pad kit and in the members section of the page they had the directions to turn this kit into a full electric. Of course I added some more cymbal pads and did straighten up the drums. This by far was the best way for me to accomplish my goals of being able to practice playing and not disturbing anyone. |
Yes I know this is getting old. But there is just one more drumset if you want to call it that. The Yamaha DD-50. I think of it as a toy, or a very economical way to practice. I have used this drum set when the church is having a bible study and it is a small group gathering that we are just playing three or four songs. It works great in this type of set up. It takes 3 minutes to set it up and then it takes just as long to tear it down. I put it on a snare stand, it is like it was build for a snare stand. (the picture is not mine it is from the company web page.) |

This small piece of electronic equipment is what I use to plug each drum into on the electric sets that I built. It has over 500 sounds that it can produce. |
I have organized a few pages here that I visit once and a while for drum products. Right now I want to say I claim no responsibility for any injury or loss that might happen by following any directions in any site that I link to. I have followed the directions very closely and have had no problems.
